Your host George is a native of Orlando, Florida. He has spent a lot of time in México over the last ten years. His twenty years experience with a global hotel corporation has given him a wealth of experience to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Your host Gabriel is a native of Jalisco and has lived in both Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta. His experience in hospitality, culinary arts, and gardening contributes to the beauty and comfort of the house and provides a local resource to our guests.
The house is a two level, five bedroom structure that has been completely restored and redecorated to include original century-old tile in the bedrooms. The main floor is composed of natural slate. There are three terrazzas and two luxurious gardens. The rear two terrazzas have bubbling fountains and offer a repose from the bustling city life. There is a small chiminea to warm you up on chilly nights on the terrazza. Many of the furnishing were custom-made and acquired locally to showcase the craftmanship of the artesans of Jalisco, Michoacan, and other regions. There are numerous oil-paintings throughout the house also done by area artists. Other decorations include talavera, terracotta, stonework, wood carvings, metal-craft, and gold and silver leaf. We have carefully chosen all the items for the house to reflect the antique nature while keeping your comfort in mind and perserving the heritage of a casa antigua.
